One I had not heard about, but in digging into several sources, including Wikipedia, now has my attention. Robert Eggers brings his signature folklore‑driven, atmospheric style to werewolf mythology. Expect period detail, stark visuals, and a primal, slow-burning descent into terror. It’s going to include Willem Dafoe in the cast. Filming began in late 2025. We are speculating it will have a bleak English West Coast vibe after reading about the known filming locations.

Fangoria highlights this as one of the standout auteur projects of 2026 and is releasing late in the year, but it’s a Christmas 2026 release. In the Article, Eggers was reportedly planning on shooting the feature in black and white before switching back to color. We are anticipating it will be a gift you keep going back to and get plenty of enjoyment from, fingers crossed on this one, and we will be watching horror socials closely in 2026 as the hype grows. We personally are praying it’s not lost in attempts to be too “artys”.
